A collection of...stuff

I've been gathering a collection just to have laying around the house. It's a pretty good collection so far too. I've got part of a cinder block, a chunk of concrete, a roof shingle, an old glove, and almost a dozen bricks! I mean, it's a great collection, look!
So, now you're wondering where exactly I got all of this loot. I know, you're jealous and you want to get some for yourself. Well, you can't have any as it's mine, all mine! I got it from this special place, see.
You can't see it? Look closer.
Yup, those are some of the bricks, and yes, they are, or rather were, underground. Where underground did I find all this loot then? You may still be trying to take it for yourself, but you can't. Because it's on my land!
Yup, that hole is in the mound in front of my house where two tall trees use to stand. We took them down because one was dead and the other probably would have died after we removed the first. Well, I think now I know why the first one was dead. On the plus side, I now have a Red Maple in place where they used to sit. Hopefully I got enough of the garbage out so it won't hurt that. I'll get some pictures of it up after we finish up around it and make it purtty like. =)

Just another day

Well, I've been taking a few pictures. While they haven't all been good, they seem to be getting a little better. =)

Since I was challenged, here's one of my favorite subjects.

We went and saw some of the family.

Felix,

Cassie,

Rosco,

This strange thing,

And Jen's mom.

Found a new photogenic subject too.

This is our neighbor's new puppy. His name is Koby (or Coby, not sure how to spell it). He's a good pup.

Day 1 with the new camera!

Well, I took over 150 pictures on the first day just trying to get an idea of what the camera does, what looks good, and what looks like crap. Needless to say, I had a lot of crap pictures. But I did get a few good ones!

The first photo evar with the new camera!

Not bad for a novice who doesn't know what he's doing. ;-) But I've got lots of room for improvement.

Here's some more of the progression.
Of course, near the end of my shooting, it was obvious my subjects were getting a little irritated with me.
After some more practice and maybe some pointers from some who know more, I might be able to get something a little more postworthy! Till then.

Apparently some people like me...

On my birthday last week, I receive some presents from my family. All of my family. Not that this isn't normal, but what isn't normal is what these presents consisted of!

Jennifer and Caitlyn got me a Wii!!

Carrie and Jeremy and my parents (unbeknownst to them) got me a FujiFilm S9000 Digital camera and 2 Gig memory card! Of course, this was part of my Christmas present too. ;-)

So yeah, apparently my family likes me. =)

Now all I have to do is figure out how to use the camera. =/
